The NCAA has moved the hearing back on the Ohio State men’s basketball infractions of 5 years ago to mid September now. What is it with these people? This investigation has been going on for a year. The coach that committed the violation was fired. The school self imposed a ban on postseason tournaments for last year and most likely they would have been in the NCAA tournament without the ban. The athletic director has retired. Most people knowledgeable about the situation seem to think the only additional penalties are going to be taking down a final 4 banner and some monetary penalties. Just get it over with. As it is the 2006 recruiting class appears to be the best recruiting class in school history and will rank among the best in college history. These delaying tactics by the NCAA are needless.
